CBD is a four-piece folk band built on shared voices, mutual respect, and a deep love of song. This Bay Area Supergroup brings together songwriters Claudia Russell and Christopher Smith, multi-instrumentalist Bruce Kaplan, and bassist Daniel Patrick. With two distinctive writers at its core and an eclectic sound that draws on Original tunes, Americana, and bluegrass traditions, CBD plays with the ease of old friends and the spark of something new. Their performances are rich with harmony, humor, and engaging songs that linger long after the show.
C.B.D. is an absolute musical delight! It’s a very pleasurable way to spend an evening! With the addition of Claudia and Bruce- the melodies just get better and better. Christopher is a gifted song writer- his lyrics are both sweet and comical. Daniel’s bass and voice lend depth and elegance to the set. Claudia has a phenomenal voice worth words of praise after the show and Bruce is an accomplished string master with several instruments- they are a must see group!! Sue Barton
The evening was fantastic. The sounds, the words, the camaraderie -- transported me to the destination -- including the treasures of childhood; self reflection with a smile; an old songbook that speaks now; toasting and sharing with those I love. KM
