Andrea Brachfeld
Saturday April 4th
Mill Valley Masonic
19 Corte Madera Ave Mill Valley

Over the past 20 years Andrea has recorded more than a dozen CD’s with many artists including, Africando, Noel Pointer, and Timbalaye. Her breakthrough performance as the flutist for the popular Latin band Charanga ‘76, catapulted her into Salsa history and fame as the first female flutist to play this music in the United States. She is here is the Bay area for one show only and has the finest band of local Latin musicians alive today.Although Andrea has worked in the Bay area before, this is her first as a leader and as she says,"Playing with musicians of this caliber as professionals and as people is a real honor."

... Her marvelous tone and technique are astonishing. Her adventurous writing
equals and rival her playing here. She is definitely among those who deserves
recognition not only among her peers, but the public in general

Fito Reinoso Y Su Ritmo Y Armonia
Afro Cuban Dance Party

Friday April 17th
Mill Valley Masonic
19 Corte Madera Ave Mill Valley

For over a decade, Fito Reinoso has made the Bay Area his home and is the only Cuban born sonero based in the area performing a variety of styles, from the most recent urban Havana grooves to “timba” to the classic son and cha-cha-cha, all with a voice reminiscent of the late and beloved legendary Cuban singer, Beny Moré. His dynamic personality and showmanship has led him to collaborate with some of the top musicians who reside in Cuba and the United States.

Fito’s band, Ritmo y Armonía plays primarily original music, composed by Fito and inspired by contemporary Cuban rhythms. The orchestra plays more traditional Cuban genres such as son-montuno, cha-cha-cha, and bolero but always with a sound that is authentic. Fito Reinoso y su Ritmo y Armonía has performed at a number of Bay Area renowned nightclubs and festivals such as Yoshi's, The San Francisco Jazz Festival, The San Jose Jazz Festival. He is a regular in our Afro Cuban Rotation at the Masonic.

If you are looking for the scorching rhythms of Cuban new-wave, Fito Reinoso y su Ritmo y Armonía is guaranteed to please.
